Use the Index from your agent

Every score on the Index is readable by machines as well as people. Add the Index to your agent as an MCP connector with no account at all, or fetch the plain-text files below.

Connect your agent, no account needed

The Index has a public, read-only MCP server (streamable HTTP). There is nothing to sign up for and no key to copy: point any MCP client at this URL.

Then ask things like “How agent-ready is example.com, and what should it fix first?” or “Who leads the travel sector on the Index?” It has three tools:

  • search_index_domainsSearch tracked sites by domain or name, or read the top of the leaderboard. Filter by sector to compare peers.
  • get_index_reportA domain’s overall score, band and rank, per-category and per-provider scores, the frictions agents hit and the failing checks.
  • list_index_sessionsThe agent sessions behind a domain’s score, with their tasks and outcomes.

Set up your client

Claude

In Claude (web or desktop), open Settings, then Connectors, choose Add custom connector, and paste the URL. Leave the OAuth fields empty.

ChatGPT

Turn on developer mode under Settings, Apps & Connectors, Advanced, then create a connector with the URL and choose No authentication.

With a Stunt Double account

The same Index tools also live on Stunt Double’s full MCP server, alongside the product’s actors, checklists and interviews:

It signs in with OAuth 2.1 and dynamic client registration. Scopes are mcp:read (enough for every Index tool), mcp:write and mcp:run, and access can be revoked at any time. A domain’s owner can also call request_index_rerun there to re-score their site after shipping fixes.

Plain-text files, no account needed

  • /llms.txt: what the Index is, how scores are made, the categories and the top domains.
  • /d/{domain}/fix-prompt.md: a domain’s findings as a Markdown prompt for a coding agent, regenerated after every run.
  • /badge/{domain}.svg: the embeddable score badge (add ?style=compact for the small one, or ?style=flat for a 20px one that lines up with README badges).
  • /sitemap.xml: every public page, including each domain’s scorecard at /d/{domain}.
